Race Night Procedures-House Classes

Car and pass off list draw

1. Each competitor draws a number representing order in which signifies three things: 1-the order in which you draw for your night's cars, 2-the order of the pass-off list, 3-the qualifying order

2. the competitors with the lower (closer to 1) drawn numbers receive the fewer number of cars based on unevenness of the car hand out chart (see chart below).  These competitors are placed on the pass-off list before the drivers who receive the larger number of cars.

Qualifying

3. Each driver qualifies his cars in succession.  He may qualify his drawn cars in any order.

4. For realism, the decimal point is moved from the computer scoring to reflect the scale speeds.  For example, a lap of 1.700 seconds becomes a 17.00 second lap.  Each driver has four laps to qualify a car as fast as possible.  Other driver will assist in returning cars to the track that crash in qualifying.  All drivers will qualify in the same lane and the qualifying lane will rotate weekly. (Dirt Late Models and Sprint Cars may qualify in any lane...)

5. the cars are all placed in move-up main events with the top two qualified cars automatically qualifying for the main event.

6. the main event assignments are as follows: F Main-16, 15, 14, 13th qualifiers. E Main-12, 11, 10th qualifiers.  D Main-9, 8, 7th qualifiers.  C Main-6, 5th qualifiers.  B Main 4, 3rd qualifiers.  A Main-2, 1st qualifiers.

Racing and Move-Ups

7. Each event will consist of four lane heat segments of equal lengths of time (G through D Mains 30 second per lane, C-B Mains 45 seconds per lane, A Main 60 seconds per lane).

8. Any competitor with more than one car in a main will be forced to choose the one in which he races.  Any other car(s) are forfeited and "passed-off" to other competitors based on the pass-off list.  Once passed that competitor can only race that car again if it is "passed" back by another competitor.

9. Once the racing begins the cars must be in motion.  In the event of an accident the race is stopped and the offenders are moved back to the penalty area (right in front of the lap counter).  The instigator of the accident is charged to "get-in" the race again.  All de-slotted cars involved are moved back to the penalty area, but only the instigator is charged.  Each racer begins each heat of each event with a set number of "get-ins".  Once they are used up the car is parked for the remainder of the heat (not event).  Any car parked will start the next heat in the penalty area.  The only time a car is not returned to the penalty area upon crashing is when the crash occurs when time expires for that heat/event.  When the power is turned on, any car that doesn't move will get one "free" chance to move again.  If it doesn't move on the free chance it is charged a "get-in" and moved to the penalty area.  After each heat, drivers will move their cars to the next lane in rotation parallel to where they stopped (except cars in the pits, they will return in the penalty area).

10. The number of "get-ins" per heat in each main are as follows: G-D Mains one get-in, C-B Mains two get-ins, A Main three get-ins

11. Move-ups are decided by the drivers that complete the most laps in four heats.  The G-D Mains will move up the winner only and the first and second place finishers from the C-B Mains will move-up.  Pass-offs are then figured after move-ups are completed.

12. Once an event (four-heat race) is started there is no mechanical work allowed on the cars.  This includes cleaning tires, oiling or adjusting the car.  In the event of an accident that dislodges the body of the car, only the body can be replaced.  No other work can be done.  The offending car is moved to the penalty area.

12. Drivers will be award points based on the final finishes of their to best cars (including ones passed to them) for the evening.  Points will be awarded in the same format of the Nextel Cup series.  (175pts for a win with a five point drop to 6th, a four point drop to 12th and then a three point drop throughout.)  One bonus point will be awarded for each Main event win.  One bonus point will be awarded to the fastest qualifying driver.
